Adults

Adult courses are for those aged 18* or over who may be visiting the centre on their own or with a small group of other adults. The courses are of 3 different durations and run on set dates through the course of the year.

Participants may be an individual coming on their own and require no, or very low levels of support, or an adult who requires care support coming with a friend, family member, or professional carer. We ensure that everyone has a challenging and adventurous stay, while also having the opportunity to socialise and make full use of our facilities. Where possible we match different ages and physical abilities in activity groups together – however, we reserve the right to mix groups in instances of insufficient take-up.

Financial Support: Enabling Adventure Fund

At Calvert Lakes, we believe that everyone should have the opportunity to experience the joys of outdoor adventure. We also understand that the cost of a residential stay can be a barrier. That’s why we work to secure funding that is designed to help offset the cost of your visit.

Do I qualify?

Here’s what you need to know about eligibility:

Who can qualify and how much?

Criteria vary depending on the funder. Factors like geographic location, age, disability, or disadvantage are often considered.

The maximum support available is 25% of the total booking cost.

Who is prioritised?

  • Groups, families, or individuals booking stays outside the peak summer months are given priority.
  • During term time, weekend stays are prioritised for financial support.

If we're successful, what next?

If you qualify for support, we’ll need to provide feedback to the funder. This will include a feedback form, photos from your stay and a quote about your visit. Don’t worry—all feedback will be used solely for internal purposes unless you agree otherwise.
