An autistic 10-year-old boy has inspired his mum to run the London Marathon in aid of the Lake District Calvert Trust.

The Lake District Calvert Trust has highlighted the positive impact of bursary funding as the charity and its visitors battle the cost-of-living crisis.  Working in partnership with The LGA Foundation, the two charities have enabled children with disabilities from the North East of England to participate in life changing experiences. 

Growing up in Viano do Castelo, Portugal, Nuno Malo was an active member of his local athletics club.  Now the 43-year-old Penrith resident is revisiting his childhood as he trains for a series of fundraising runs in aid of the Lake District Calvert Trust.
