What’s the challenge?
From 1 June to 3 September 2023, dip or swim in as many of the 30 Bays as possible. In doing so, you’ll help to raise essential funds to enable children and adults with disabilities to experience outdoor adventure challenges.
Swim as much or as little as you want, so you could just swim one stroke in every bay or swim from location to location in the same lake! You could swim before work, lunchtimes, daytimes, after work or even by moonlight, it’s up to you! Maybe make an afternoon of walking from bay to bay to tick a few off followed by a picnic! It’s all about creating great memories and enjoying the beautiful Lake District.
If you would like to get involved but think that you will be unable to swim at every bay on the list, do as many as you can to help raise awareness and funds for Calvert, as it’s the taking part that counts. For keen wild swimmers wanting a more difficult challenge, the 30 Bays can be completed in 30 Days or even 30 hours! Not only is this an amazing challenge but you will feel the benefits of being involved as wild swimming is proven to be good for your health.
We’ll send you a fundraising pack, and a branded swimming cap. All you need to do is to keep a record of your dips and share pictures of your swims on social media using #30Bays80Days. So come on dive in and join us on our journey around the Lake District!
