Why did you want to work at Calvert?
We heard it was a lovely place to work and it had a good atmosphere when we visited. It is right on Bassenthwaite, and I had the option to live on site which was really appealing, especially as I like to go fishing and biking.
What’s the most rewarding part of the job?
Seeing guests happy faces and listening to people’s stories of what they have achieved throughout their day. There are a lot of good characters here both as staff and guests.
Tell us about an outstanding memory / experience you’ve had with the charity?
We always look forward to our returning guests and we get to know certain groups and people very well, especially schools such as Percy Hedly from Newcastle and Help the Heros.
