The Great North Run

Start the Great North Run in Newcastle city centre and run the 13.1miles to South Shields seafront. The Great North Run is the world’s largest half marathon. It has become an iconic feature of Newcastle Gateshead’s cultural and sporting programme and welcomes 52,000 runners to the Northeast from all over the world.
