In 2026, we’re celebrating half a century of accessible adventures at the Lake District Calvert Trust. At the very core of what we do, and this has been the case right from the beginning, are our dedicated and passionate people. From our pioneering founders, the Fryer-Spedding family, through to every member of staff, every guest, every volunteer and every supporter – we thank you all for being part of our journey so far.
We wouldn’t be able to offer the life-changing experiences we do without the support of our people. So as we’re commemorate this milestone year by assembling as many stories as we can. Stories from guests and staff, past and present, our ponies and trustees, our loyal supporters and local community.
