About Calvert Lakes pool

Our purpose-built water centre is available to use by residents, the local community, visitors to the Lake District and care organisations. Make private bookings for sole use or join a public swim. With early bird, twilight and quieter sessions available too, we welcome visitors of all abilities to our soothing pool.

Our swimming pool provides a complete sensory experience for those with and without disabilities. With a raisable floor, sauna, fun features and accessible poolside hoists and changing, there is no better place to relax and enjoy stunning views across the lake and mountains beyond.

We have single sex group changing rooms with private showers, family changing wetrooms, changing tables, shower chairs and separate toilets catering to whatever needs our guests have.

If you’d like the pool floor raised, or you want to use our sauna, please ask our friendly reception team at the point of booking and we’ll make sure these are sorted for you.

Anyone using the pool for the first time will need a short pool induction as the pool is unsupervised. There needs to be a minimum of two adults in the pool at any one time for safety reasons and we have poolside CCTV for your protection.

The water centre can be accessed via a ramp alongside three steps externally or we have lift access from within our dining room.

Booking is required which can be done via phone or email.
