Booths Keswick Staff Choose Lake District Calvert Trust as Charity of the Year

We are deeply honoured and delighted to have been chosen as Booths Keswick Charity of the Year following a staff vote, reflecting their commitment to supporting causes that matter most to their employees and the communities they serve.

The partnership will see colleagues from Booths Keswick supporting the Lake District Calvert Trust throughout the year to raise funds, volunteer time and champion the work of our important charity. Every fundraising event, challenge and act of support will help make a lasting difference to people with disabilities, improving access to accessible and inclusive outdoor adventures.

Being selected through an employee vote makes the partnership especially meaningful.

In addition to events, a book stall and bucket collections, through Pennies, customers can choose to add a small micro-donation to their card payment at checkout, creating a simple and affordable way to support the charity.

While each individual donation may be small, together they add up to make a meaningful contribution. Local shoppers can join in making a difference too. By giving just a few pennies when they shop, they can become part of something much bigger and help create lasting impact for a local charity.

Georgia Naylor, Corporate Fundraiser for Calvert Lakes:

“We’re so pleased the team at Booths Keswick have decided to support our amazing charity again this year. Thanks to all the staff who voted for us. The funds raised from this collaboration will improve access to life-changing adventures for people with disabilities, helping build confidence and bringing people together to share new experiences. We have lots planned for the next 12 months and can’t wait to get stuck in!”

Corporate partnerships play a pivotal role in helping us to provide life-changing experiences, bring people together and encourage them to try new activities in a safe and supportive environment. By choosing a Charity of the Year, businesses empower their teams to make a tangible difference while strengthening their own connection with the communities in which they live and work.

Throughout the partnership, Booths Keswick employees will have the opportunity to take part in a range of activities, initiatives and volunteering opportunities to celebrate this collaboration.

Matt Welsh, Booths, Keswick, Store Manager, said:

“For the team, choosing our Charity of the Year is always an important decision, and we’re delighted to be supporting the Lake District Calvert Trust again. This partnership is about more than fundraising – it’s about coming together as a community to help make a positive difference for people with disabilities. We can’t wait to see our colleagues and customers get involved throughout the year, helping raise both vital funds and awareness for the fantastic adventures Calvert offers.”

As the partnership begins, we’re excited to work together to inspire generosity, encourage community involvement and create more opportunities for those living with disabilities.
