Corporate challenges at our inclusive activity centre offer an energising way to bring teams together, build stronger relationships and boost morale. Set in a unique outdoor environment, these experiences combine problem-solving, communication and physical activities to encourage collaboration and leadership. Whether tackling obstacles , navigating team challenges or taking on friendly competitions, participants step outside their usual roles and discover new strengths. Our experienced instructors tailor each session to your goals, ensuring an engaging and inclusive experience for all abilities. Ideal for away days, team building or staff rewards, corporate challenges create lasting impact and shared achievement.
We offer organisations of all shapes and sizes truly inclusive away days. Whatever the mix of abilities within your team, we provide team-bonding sessions to suit your needs and outcomes, helping to build team spirit and camaraderie.
Introducing our corporate challenges
Choose from one of three ready-made corporate challenges, boots, boats and ropes, or get in touch for a more bespoke team adventure. We can combine elements of the options below, include lunch and offer meeting rooms for a tailored away days with a difference. All activities can be adapted for different needs with our experienced instructors on hand throughout to ensure everyone gets the most out of their adventure.
Boots
Boots is an exciting team treasure hunt set in the scenic Dodd Wood and beyond, where participants will explore on foot, navigating trails and uncovering clues together.
Boats
Boats is a dynamic team treasure hunt set on the tranquil waters of Bassenthwaite Lake. Take to our Canadian canoes and navigate the lake as you race against your colleagues.
Ropes
Ropes is a lofty team-building adventure set among the towering trees surrounding the Calvert Lakes. Suspended high above the ground, navigate the course to complete the challenge.

As well as residential stays, pool and stables bookings, and corporate team building challenges, we also offer Disability Awareness Training courses and corporate venue hire for organisations requiring accessible accommodation and inclusive facilities.
Venue hire
In addition to accessibly activity breaks, the Lake District Calvert Trust offers conference weekends with optional team building activities for all your attendees, including anyone with a disability.

Away Day FAQs
How long are away day sessions?
Boots, Boats and Ropes are all half day challenges. For a small added cost we can include lunch, hot drinks and traybakes or breakfast rolls too.
We also have two meeting spaces that are suitable for corporate activities, presentations and seminars. Ask us about our corporate room hire options.
Can we do more than one away day challenge?
Definitely! Feel free to add Boots and Boats to Ropes, or mix and match any way that suits your group to make a full days team building challenge. We’ll work with you to create an unforgettable away day experience.
What's included?
Included in your away day activity session will be one, or more, of our experienced instructors. They’ll introduce the challenge and guide you through how to complete it.
We offer parking on site and have other accessible facilities available to book such as meeting rooms, our hydrotherapy pool, sauna and sensory room.
