“In 2026, I’m honoured to run again for the Calvert Trust—but this time, I’ll be running with even greater purpose. I’ll be running alongside my best friend, who is taking on the challenge in support of Meath School, where her incredible son—my godson, Tommy—attends. Tommy was born at just 26 weeks and has a diagnosis of cerebral palsy.
Tommy is an inspiring, courageous little boy who brings so much joy and strength to everyone who knows him. The Calvert Trust supports children like Tommy—children who deserve the opportunity to explore, grow, and thrive in environments that are truly inclusive. This run is for him. It’s a dedication to his determination, his journey, and to every child who just needs the right support to reach their full potential.”
“The Lake District Calvert Trust is an amazing charity that do extraordinary work to help everyone enjoy the beautiful lakes. Having grown up in Cumbria and experiencing how beautiful it is, knowing this charity does so much work to help everyone enjoy the lakes also is amazing.”
The 2027 London Marathon is due to take place on Sunday 25th April 2027. There is the possibility that the marathon will run across 2 days in 2027 but permission is still pending and this is yet to be confirmed.
Most people start their race at 9.30am when mass waves begin at intervals to allow people to clear the start line. Elite runners and those with disabilities begin earlier, usually from 8.30am.
Each year we have an allocated number of London Marathon charity places. These are very popular so securing your place early is essential. Get in touch with our fundraising team to find out if places are still available.
We request that all our runners commit to raising a minimum amount for us. The amount requested goes directly towards supporting people with disabilities access life-changing adventures. If you are unable to raise the minimum amount, get in touch with our fundraising team for tips, suggestions and support.
