The Lake District Calvert Trust is hosting an Open Garden & Cream Tea Afternoon on Sunday 16 July 2023.

The event is taking place from 2pm – 5pm at High Moss, Portinscale CA12 5TX.

Guests will be able to explore four-and-a-half acres of formal and informal terraced gardens, lawns and paddocks with fir trees, rhododendrons and azaleas and magnificent views of the fells.   There are also herbaceous borders and a Lakeland arts and crafts garden.

A cream tea, with scones kindly provided by Natasha Newby from Nichol End Marine, will be available in the marquee, with students from Keswick School helping out on the day.  Local musician Josh Drinkall will be playing the saxophone while a raffle and plant sale will also take place.

There is a suggested entry donation of £5 for adults.  Children are free. Dogs are welcome but must be on a lead.

All proceeds from the event will go to the Lake District Calvert Trust.
