Pony Club

Fun, structured and educational

About Pony Club

Calvert Stables are a Pony Club Centre, meaning you can do all the activities Pony Club offer but you don’t need your own horse. Pony Club offer a fun, structured, and educational experience for young riders of all abilities. Designed to build confidence both in and out of the saddle, these sessions combine high-quality riding instruction with essential horse care and stable management skills. Participants learn how to groom, tack up, and care for ponies, while also developing their riding technique in a safe and supportive environment.

Led by qualified instructors, Pony Club sessions follow recognised standards and provide clear progression pathways, including the opportunity to work towards industry recognised badges and certifications. Whether riders are just starting out or looking to improve their riding, or overall confidence, sessions are tailored to suit individual goals.

As well as developing practical skills, Pony Club encourages teamwork, responsibility, and a strong understanding of horse welfare. With a friendly, social atmosphere, it’s the perfect way for young people to make friends, stay active, and build a lifelong passion for horses
