We love celebrating the change of seasons here at Calvert Lakes – not least, because we can see it happening right outside our window. Be it Easter, Halloween, a Dark Skies Festival or just good old Christmas, take a break with friends, family or come as a group and breath in the gorgeous surroundings of Keswick and the northern Lake District.

What themed breaks do you offer?
We offer Easter weekend breaks, Halloween weekend stays and festive weekends every year that include themed activities for people of all abilities.
Who can join a themed break?
Themed weekend stays are perfect for all ages and abilities. We find they appeal to adults and families most, but groups are welcome to join any of our seasonal activity breaks here in the Lakes.
What activities do themed weekends offer?
Often themed weekends include the usual weekend activities, climbing, ziplining, high ropes, swimming and sailing, with an added flavour of the season. There may be egg hunts at Easter and Christmas markets during our festive breaks, or try spooky orienteering during our Halloween weekends.
Funding for adventure breaks
We’re committed to making our activity breaks accessible to as many people as possible, which is why limited bursary funding is available to help reduce the cost. Because our funding is often restricted, we prioritise those who’d most benefit from financial assistance. While we cannot guarantee support for every enquiry, we encourage anyone facing financial barriers to get in touch. Our team is here to guide you through the process and help you explore the options available.
