Enabling Adventure Fund

At Calvert Lakes, we believe that everyone should have the opportunity to experience the joys of outdoor adventure. We also understand that the cost of a residential stay can be a barrier. That’s why we work to secure funding that is designed to help offset the cost of your visit.

We’re committed to making our activity breaks accessible to as many people as possible, which is why limited bursary funding is available to help reduce the cost. Each application is carefully assessed on a case‑by‑case basis, taking into account individual circumstances and the level of support needed. Because our funding is sometimes restricted, we prioritise those who would most benefit from financial assistance. While we cannot guarantee support for every enquiry, we encourage anyone facing financial barriers to apply. Our team is here to guide you through the process and help you explore the options available

Who can qualify and for how much?

Criteria vary depending on the funder. Factors like geographic location, age, disability, or disadvantage are often considered. The maximum support available is 25% of the total booking cost.

Who is prioritised?

Groups, families, or individuals booking stays outside the peak summer months are usually given priority, but all funding is allocated on a case-by-case basis depending on the amount of funding available.

How does funding work?

Once bursary support has been confirmed, there will be some forms to fill in. Our funders require an application form and a feedback form so they can see the impact of their support.
