Romeo & Juliet: Star-crossed clans!

This October, experience a one-of-a-kind, midweek break. Culture meets Outdoor Adventure as Calvert Lakes joins forces with Keswick’s Theatre by the Lake. Enjoy a 4-night break around the theme of Shakespeare’s Romeo and Juliet.

Will you be a Montague? Dare you be a Capulet? Find out at the start of the week and let battle begin! The winning clan will have the honour of being named Calvert Champions. Please note, while duelling is strictly forbidden, friendly competition is actively encouraged.

Never mind the star-crossed lovers, who will triumph – the magnificent Montagues or the cunning Capulets? Find out this October…

What’s included?

• At least 3 sessions of outdoor adventure such as canoeing, cycling, roped activities, bushcraft or archery – ultimate effort and participation scores maximum points for your clan!
• A familiarisation visit and backstage tour to the beautiful Theatre by the Lake
• A 2-hour relaxed theatre performance of Romeo & Juliet by the internationally renowned Graeae Theatre Company who challenge ‘societal expectations of disabled people’.
• Mask-making workshop to wear at our ‘Masked Ball’ – aka Thursday disco. Bonus points available in the Capulet-Montague dance off.
