All of our rooms accommodate a minimum of two guests and are equipped with fully accessible ensuite bathrooms. The majority feature profiling beds to support individual comfort and care needs.
We also provide additional accessibility equipment upon request to ensure every guests requirements are met, including:
School groups have their own exclusive corridor or building, which can be securely locked down accordingly if required, offering added privacy, supporting safeguarding measures and providing peace of mind.
All food is prepared and cooked on site by our team of chefs, and where possible using locally sourced produce from local suppliers. Our dining room is a communal space where you will have your own tables for your group (or activity group) with breakfast and the evening meal at set times. Our chefs ensure your dietary requirements are met whether it be pureeing, gluten free, lactose intolerance or other.
The day starts with a cooked breakfast including toast, cereal and hot drinks.
For lunch, there’s soup, sandwiches, crisps, fruit and tray bakes. Occasionally we provide packed lunches to help you make the most of your time outdoors.
In the evenings we provide a hearty 3 course meal with a choice of salad or soup to start, a selection of mains and tempting desserts.
Hot drinks available all day and there’s a fridge to store your own snacks.
“The group had a really incredible time, transformative for some. It was great to see the course in operation for myself, I feel super assured that this course is fulfilling our objectives.”
“Everyone at the Trust was amazing. Catered to all our needs and was so refreshing to be part of a non-judgemental group of people. I felt really supported by the instructors and staff when my son had challenging behaviour and they helped every step of the way which made me feel more relaxed. The staff are all very special people and all deserve medals. Thank you all so much.”
“Not only does everyone get to try something new, but just being in the outdoors, in such an awe-inspiring location, is proven to benefit everyone’s emotional and mental well-being.”
At Calvert Lakes, we believe that everyone should have the opportunity to experience the joys of outdoor adventure. We also understand that the cost of a residential stay can be a barrier. Thanks to the hard work of our fundraising team, we have regular releases of bursary funding that can further help support your residential stay with us.
